Vices

I sat down with a friend I haven't seen in four years, it seems like she has gotten a lot accomplished and had a good time getting there. Now I'm not going to go into the minutia of her job, but one thing that happened is she got married, grats to her on that! but it seems she married into a family of alcoholics. now while I am not against drinking, I firmly believe in moderation. I myself have been known to partake in some single malt, and have created a few shots for the benefit of the females. But all this is besides the point, being controlled by your vices is the short path to a non-enjoyable life. I have seen far too many families torn apart because of alcoholism, and I would rather not see hers end up that way. thankfully there are no kids on the scene as of yet, but I would say that one is on the way if my guesses hold true. my boss was an alcoholic for thirty years, and for the past twenty five he hasn't touched a drop, so I know that people can summon the willpower to quit if they want to. and its not just a matter of per person, its a matter of whether you really want to quit or not.
